Job title: Events and Membership Manager, Hanoi
Reporting to: Assistant Director (based in HCMC)

We are looking for a dynamic and engaging Vietnamese national to fill in the immediate position as Events and Membership Manager. This person will manage all Hanoi activities of BBGV, run the operation of Hanoi office and promote the exposure of BBGV to the business communities in Hanoi.

• Be responsible for the successful delivery of BBGV’s business, social and charity events in Hanoi which includes: Working with the sub groups to establish a calendar of events; Carrying out relevant actions for each function (event logistics arrangement, event promotion, event sponsorship if necessary, and event follow-up.)
• Increase the membership base of BBGV in Hanoi and maintain close contacts with members and business partners. Supervise membership renewals in Hanoi in conjunction with HCMC.
• To engage proactively with BBGV stakeholders in Hanoi i.e. Business chambers, British Embassy, British Council, UK Alumni Vietnam .etc. Deal with the authorities; liaise with government officials when required.
• Arrange and attend all Board meetings and prepare minutes for Hanoi sections, following up with appropriate actions;
• Monitor all routine correspondence and phone calls to/from Hanoi and assist the Hanoi board with all non-routine correspondence. Handle all the meeting and guest visits
• Other admin tasks such as managing adequate filing systems, the cash (banking) and Petty cash, etc.
• Support the BBGV Business Centre in Hanoi with related tasks in Hanoi on an ad hoc basis
• Other tasks set out by the Assistant Director and the Board.
Suitable applicants should be prepared to work flexible hours which will include some evenings.

• Bachelor degree in Economics, Business, Marketing, Communications, Management and/or related fields
• At least 3 years work experience in an international working environment – candidates must be comfortable and effective to operate within professional business environment.
• Experience in event management, excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Excellent spoken and written English (IELTS 7.0 equivalent)
• Good IT skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Self-motivated, honest, reliable, outgoing.
• Must be used to working in a small office.

• Demonstrated ability in working with senior leaders and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Business mindset, creative and the ability to use initiatives.
• Be able to design basic flyer, poster etc.
• Be familiar with social media channels, website etc.
