BBGV Annual Inter-Company Football Tournament for Charity

Each year, we organise two separate charity football tournaments, one in Hanoi and the other in Ho Chi Minh City. In each tournament, 16 companies completes for the coveted BBGV trophies.  All proceeds go to local Vietnamese charities.

Hanoi 2016

The BBGV Hanoi 3rd Football Tournament for Charity took place on Saturday the 9th January 2016 at People’s Security Academy Stadium –C500, Road 19-5, Van Quan, Ha Dong, Hanoi.

The team from British International School Hanoi became the overall champion of the tournament and earned the title "Winner of the Championship League". The runner up position in the Champions League went to Jardines.

In the Euro-Asia Division, Vietnam Airlines came first and British Embassy Hanoi became the runner up.

The top goal scorer in the whole tournament scoring 4 goals was one player from Us Alumni Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh City 2015:

The BBGV HCM 2nd Football Tournament for Charity took place on Saturday the 14th of November at RMIT University, 702 Nguyen Van Linh, District 7, HCMC.

The top goal scorer in the whole tournament scoring 7 goals was one player from Jet Airways who won 2 return Airline tickets to Bangkok.

Ho Chi Minh City 2014:

On Saturday 19th July 2014, 16 teams took part in our Inter-Company Football tournament at RMIT University. Colleagues, families, sponsors, associates and volunteers supported and cheered on the teams throughout the day. The BBGV has raised 70 million VND.

The team from RMIT UNIVERSITY became the overall champion of the tournament and earned the title "Winner of the Championship League". The runner up position in the Champions League went to ANZ.

In the Euro-Asia Division, CUSHMAN AND WASKFIELD came first and ETIHAD AIRWAYS became the runners up. The top goal scorer in the whole tournament scoring 5 goals was DANG HOANG DAI from RMIT UNIVERSITY who won 2 free Etihad Airline tickets to Europe.

Hanoi 2014:

The BBGV 2nd Inter-Company Football and Badminton for Charity in Hanoi took place on Saturday 25 October 2014 at Hoai Duc Stadium, Hanoi City. We would like to congratulate all 16 teams and players who joined our great event.

The Football Tournament: It was a huge success with the winning team UK Alumni Vietnam becoming the overall champion of the tournament and earned the title: "Winner of the Champion League". Other winners were: The Champion League - Runner up: Luala Milano, The Europa League - Champion: Jardines, The Europa League - Runner up: Vietnam Airlines. The Top Goal Scorer was Mr. Huy from UK Alumni Vietnam who scored an impressive six goals.

The Badminton Tournament: Congratulations to Trung - Uyen from Hilton Hanoi Opera were the winners of the mixed doubles. The runner-up doubles was Hung – Quyen from KPMG Vietnam.

Hanoi 2013:

The first BBGV Inter-Company Football Tournament in Hanoi was precursor for several activities that was arranged to celebrate the "GREAT WEEK", in collaboration with the British Embassy, British Consulate, British Council and UKTI Vietnam.

In 2014, the 2nd Inter-Company Football and Badminton for Charity took place on Saturday 25 October 2014 at Hoai Duc Stadium, Hanoi City with 16 teams, badminton players, families and sponsors who joined our charity event.
