The British Business Group Vietnam has received funding from Department for International Trade to continue our operation in Vietnam for another year and proudly support UK companies to enter and expand business in Vietnam market.
During the last fiscal year (FY) of 2017-2018, there was rising interest of doing business in Vietnam by UK companies and communities. The Business Centre received a total of 339 enquiries, out of which we commissioned 40 services to arrange meetings for UK companies to meet Vietnamese local partners and deliver their services/products in Vietnam market. Compared to FY 2016-2017, the number of enquiries and services commissioned increased by 183% and 235% respectively. The number of Export Opportunities to Vietnam increased from 48 to 163. The number of responses to these opportunities from UK rose from 71 to 615, 8 times higher than last year.
During this year we also brought UK pavilions to Viet Water 2017, The Training Gateway 2017 as well as Wale Delegation and members of The Energy Industries Council (EIC) to Vietnam. We also participated in the Britain in South East Asia (BiSEA) Roadshow in UK to share with UK companies with information concerning trade and export opportunities in Vietnam.
The British Business Group Vietnam looks for another successful year in cooperation with Department for International Trade to deliver the best trade service to UK companies and business communities.
